ஹைதராபாத் நகரில் 12 வயது சித்தார்த் தனது குடும்பத்துடன் வாழ்ந்து வந்தான். அவன் அத்தை மீரா யோகா ஆசிரியர். மனிதர்களுடன் உண்மையான மனதோடு பழகினால் தான் நல்ல உறவுகள் உருவாகும் என்று அவள் அடிக்கடி சொல்லுவாள்.
ஆனால் சித்தார்த் அப்படியில்லை. புதிய மொபைல், வீடியோ கேம், விலை உயர்ந்த பொருட்கள் எல்லாம் இருப்பதாக பெருமை பேசுவான். அதனால் நண்பர்கள் அதிகமாக கிடைக்கும் என்று நினைத்தான்.
சிலர் அவனுடன் பேசினாலும், உண்மையான நட்பு உருவாகவில்லை.
ஒரு நாள் பள்ளி மாணவர்களுக்கு மலைப்பகுதியில் சாகச முகாம் ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்டது. கயிறு ஏறும் விளையாட்டு, நம்பிக்கை நடைபயணம் போன்ற பல சவால்கள் இருந்தன.

ஆனால் ஒரு கயிறு சறுக்கு விளையாட்டில் அவன் தவறி வழுக்கிக் கொண்டான். கீழே பள்ளம் இருந்ததால் அவன் மிகவும் பயந்தான்.
அந்த நேரத்தில் அவன் குழுவில் இருந்த பிரியங்கா உடனே அவன் கையை பிடித்து இழுத்து காப்பாற்றினாள்.
“பயப்படாதே… நான் இருக்கிறேன்,” என்று அவள் அமைதியாக சொன்னாள்.
அந்த நேரத்தில் தான் சித்தார்த் உண்மையான நண்பன் என்றால் என்ன என்று உணர ஆரம்பித்தான்.
பிறகு நடந்த “நம்பிக்கை விழும்” விளையாட்டில், சித்தார்த் முதலில் தயங்கினான். ஆனால் கீழே நின்ற நண்பர்கள், குறிப்பாக பிரியங்கா, “நாங்கள் பிடித்து கொள்வோம்” என்று உறுதியளித்தனர்.
